compared to whites. one white guy was dismissed for saying blacks get worse punishment for the same cimes that a white person would get less for.

i don't know the makeup of this area but based on some stuff i read it looks like there are more whites who seem to recognize the unfairness in the system in this area.

but they just need one and if they can get at least idiots for the rest of the jury that's all it would take to get him off.

Spooner's defenses to the first degree murder charge are that he did not intend to kill (necessary element of first degree murder) and temporary insanity.

but he is trying to do the insanity defense. not denying he actually shot the kid.

And then he would be institutionalized. Either way the remaining years of a 72 year old, or the potential of the years of a 13 year old, I'm gonna go heave up my breakfast now.
