Enzi Clobbers Cheney in First Public Poll of Primary

A new poll shows Sen. Michael B. Enzi, R-Wyo., with a considerable lead over his primary opponent, just days after Liz Cheney announced she would challenge him.

Enzi led Cheney, 55 percent to 21 percent, in a survey from Harper Polling, a Republican firm.

Earlier this week Cheney, who is daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, announced she would challenge the three-term Republican.

Enzi also had a high favorability rating of 74 percent in the poll. Cheney had a 45 percent favorability rating.

The poll surveyed 422 likely GOP primary voters via live operator calls on July 17 and 18, and has a margin of error of 4.77 points.

The Wyoming Senate seat is rated a Safe Republican contest by Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call.

She used to wave her gun around in her make-work job at the State Department and terrify her office staff.

Her daddy dug up an old desk for her at State--"Middle East Blah Blah Blah"--it wasn't a "real" job, there had been no one in that position before her.

She used to go in her office and play with her gun. It was troubling because people weren't supposed to carry in the building, and she thought she was Quick Draw McGraw.

Enzi has angered the energy companies, the banks (anti-TARP) & the Defense Industry.

I hope she gets her ass handed to her. She's even more "Cheney" than her fucking old man, if that's possible.

They were talking about her on Morning Joe yesterday and the consensus was, she is just plain mean.
Her snide remarks right out of the gate, twice referring to Enzi as "confused" was interpreted as mean and bashing Enzi as old.
Not a good way to get your campaign off and running when the TV pundits are trashing you, day one! LOL!
