I miss their razor-sharp hilarious take-downs and acerbic wit. I would dearly love to hear / read Molly Ivins on Ted Cruz. That guy is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

(81,514 posts)We could make a kind of game of it here on DU. If she'd lived, what would she call him?
How would Molly Ivins characterize ted cruz? What I think of him generally can't be uttered in polite company. She'd be lightyears more incisive and clever!

(102,387 posts)Perry, Cruz, and the rest of the RW RETHUGS in Texas, but also wondering how it is they could approach some really insane, and hate-filled opponents with the humor that they both did. I'm having a real hard time not being continually angry and resentful--especially with their clear and very ugly "war on women"...

(23,310 posts)Either one of them would rip teddy into little thin nazi ribbons.
We still have Bill Moyers, though--another great Texan! Doesn't have Molly's sense of humor, but a scintillating intellect that no one on the right could hope to match.

(5,167 posts)He's no Molly Ivins or Ann Richards, but he did have a way about him, a way of looking at life that made you sit up and listen a bit.
I'm aware of his unsuccessful runs for office, but wonder what he's up to these days.
