We've already raised enough to cover our operating costs for the current quarter and are now working on the new equipment fund!! Less than $6k to go!! We're planning on replacing some of our aging and unreliable equipment and beefing up our system before the general elections. Hope to pay for half of it this quarter and the rest next quarter.

Woo hoo!! Let's get 'er done!!

No matter who gets the nomination or eventually wins the election, we're going to need FR more than ever to hold their feet to the fire!!

We need FR and FR needs you!!

Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God!!

that DU's on its third codebase now, and Free Republic still looks like an HTML project from 1996.

I know why they won't change though--their older members would shit themselves. Wingnuts hate change.

I'm not really the best "DU Historian," so I don't know how long DU2 was in existence, but I DO know that Skinner, EarlG and Elad made some pretty significant and major upgrades to the site during those quarterly fund drives, and ultimately, there was DU3...delivered when promised.

I've kept an eye on RimJobCentral.com for as long as I've been a DU member, and I see no evidence...none whatsoever...that ANY changes have been made to the site. It's essentially out-of-the-box, bare-bones, antiquated message board software, as fugly as fugly comes.
