Britons urged to enjoy last few hours before explosion of baby bullshit

Britons urged to enjoy last few hours before explosion of baby bullshit

BRITONS have been advised to enjoy life in the final hours before a million-megaton blast of bullshit is unleashed.

‘Babypocalypse’ experts have told Britons to leave work immediately and go with their loved ones to a beauty spot where they can spend these last fleeting moments of normality in quiet contemplation.

Professor Henry Brubaker of the Institute for Studies said: “We can’t say for sure how your life will change after today, but change it will and not for the better.

“This birth is like the Cuban missile crisis, except it’s not going to be averted. Once that child comes out of that vagina, nothing will be the same again."

In a way, it's a continuous exercise in brainwashing. What makes this family so special that the media and the public pay so much attention to them??? Shhh! Don't tell the truth, that the answer is... nothing! That there's no there there!

I couldn't believe the huge media frenzy about that. I just don''t get it. I know I'm way to the left and all that, but dang, this is partly what's wrong with our society, people.

I totally agree about the brainwashing.

Regardless of what one thinks of that, it is a fact.
And the baby being born will be third in line to the throne. So it is a big deal.

The fact that many Brits apparently can take it lightly suggests that it is not such an unhealthy past time, imo.

I would also say that anyone who cannot appreciate/be happy about the excitement and romance surrounding the birth of the first grandchild of Prince Charles and the late Lady Di is suffering mightily from terminal crabbiness, imo.

The monarchy still has overwhelming public support, an exclusive poll for the Daily Mail reveals.
Seven out of ten people flatly reject any suggestion of a republic.

An institution that roughly 70% of UK public supports is important, regardless of what you or I might think, figurehead or not.

and I pointed out that it didn't make much difference to you that the satire was from across the ocean. If you can treat the satire as being all part of the international media, reflecting Brits getting fed up with blanket baby coverage, can't you see that you'd get similar blanket baby coverage for an American First Lady?

And here in the US twitter is all abuzz about it (and in the US we don't usually know who the next leaders will be, in the UK they pretty much have a good idea of who is next in line so they follow em earlier)

The theme on DU seems to be:

"how dare you like/care about something I don't" You would think the weight of some ego's would crush the soap box they are standing on to mount their high horse

The Queen and Prince Charles are enjoying the highest levels of public support since polling began, new figures show.

Nine in ten British adults are satisfied with the way in which the Queen is doing her job, according to a poll conducted a week after the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

It is the highest level of satisfaction recorded since Ipsos Mori first asked the question in 1992.

I think the approval rating for Congress might be a tiny bit less.

More than 24m viewers in the UK watched the royal wedding on the BBC and ITV, industry body Barb estimates.

The BBC said a peak figure of 20m - a 70% share - tuned into the corporation's coverage at the end of the service in Westminster Abbey.
...
The estimated figures for the BBC and ITV put the wedding in the all-time top 10 most-watched programmes, although more people watched the 1966 World Cup Final (32.3m) and Princess Diana's funeral in 1997 (32.1m).

The wedding between the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 attracted 28.4m viewers.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-13248199

That's still pretty big. The current most read BBC stories:

1: Pregnant duchess taken to hospital
2: UK sees hottest day for seven years
3: Woman takes horse into McDonald's
4: Dead woman discovered in suitcase
5: Royal-watchers and well-wishers await birth
6: Actress found dead at tube station
7: Car permit victory for campaigners
8: Dubai rape dispute woman 'pardoned'
9: In pictures: Birth of royal baby awaited
10: Cameron to unveil online porn curb

So it takes spots 1, 5 and 9.
