I don't know how to do a screen capture. They're really playing it up big and their story says no one was even injured in the crash. 2 adults and 2 children involved.

(13,985 posts)He probably stopped after the people were already rescued. He just had to be there.
His ego is sickening.

(2,840 posts)I mean, how dare he break character and do something good and help someone when everyone knows he is the embodiment of all evil and for him to do something good would create significant cognitive dissonance? He's one sick bas*&%#, for sure.

(14,337 posts)anyway he can get it. He wants to be seen as a HERO, from being a Vigilante, um Neighborhood Watch, to rescuing car crash victims.
I guess Daddy was too busy to give him much attention as a child, so he now has to try to get it for himself as an adult. Good attention or bad attention. Anything will do.

(297,249 posts)But, what did he do instead? He stalked him and then shot and killed him.
I don't give a fuck what he does from here on out.. he escaped Justice. And, karma can be a bitch for those who think they sneak by.

(8,217 posts)Seriously? That is something that any one should do any way when a car rolls over. See if you can help.
I don't understand why this has to be played up? All I can see is a glory hog, there is no need to stay after doing a good deed, expecting it to be shown off.

(10,611 posts)Never mind that unarmed black kid he stalked and killed. See? He's a really good guy deep down!

(50,345 posts)shocker....not.
"Zimmerman was one of two men who came to the aid of a family of four -- two parents and two children -- trapped inside a blue Ford Explorer SUV that had rolled over after traveling off the highway in Sanford, Fla. at approximately 5:45 p.m. Thursday, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said in a statement."
Gosh, unless they "issue a statement" on every incident where someone helps out in an accident, helps someone in trouble, one has to wonder why this was important to them enough to issue a statement. It seems they only identified Zimmerman and not the other person who helped as well. No agenda here, lol.

(50,345 posts)this morning and it had nothing to do with the accident and everything to do with a blatant attempt to make Zimmerman out to be a 'good guy' instead of the wannabe cop who stalked, confronted, shot and killed an unarmed black teenager who was simply walking home in the rain wearing a hoodie.
By their making a statement like this only strengthens my belief they were on Zimmerman's side from the beginning.
CakeGrrl
(10,611 posts)they are VERY anxious to salvage this murderer's "reputation".
But murdering an unarmed teen was one step too far, and they couldn't cover it up like they'd hoped.
Spazito
(50,345 posts)the timing of this statement is nauseatingly obvious for sure. They were in Zimmerman's corner from the very beginning and this statement by them at this time is more proof of that, imo.

(31,827 posts)Too bad they released this p.r. stunt today - as of 4:00 PM - a little bitty baby knocked Zimmie off the front of CNN!
I imagine he's sitting in his gun bunker saying this : You cursed brat! Look what you've done! I'm off the front page! The front page of CNN!! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little boy like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness on the front page of CNN? Oooooh, look out! I'm going! Oooooh! Ooooooh!

(2,354 posts)This is a news story about "news coverage" of the Zimmerman trial, from May of 2012. It explains something really important about this case, the fact that the money spent by Zimmerman's legal defense team has been spending money to affect the 'court of public opinion,' as well as the actual, trial court -- since the very beginning.
http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/making-sense-of-news/172840/george-zimmermans-lawyers-hope-to-win-trial-by-social-media-in-trayvon-martin-case/
Late last month, attorneys for George Zimmerman the Sanford, Florida man facing second-degree murder charges in Martins killing launched a website, Facebook page, and Twitter account devoted to the case. So far, theyve used the social media platforms to comment on developments in the case, solicit money for Zimmermans defense, and interact with the public.
[S]ocial media in this day and age cannot be ignored, wrote Zimmerman attorney Mark OMara in an introductory blog post. It is now a critical part of presidential politics, it has been part of revolutions in the Middle East, and it is going to be an unavoidable part of high-profile legal cases, just as traditional media has been and continues to be.
OMara called his social media presence new and relatively unprecedented, and legal experts I spoke with could recall no previous case where a defense team has employed such tactics in a high-profile prosecution.
In other words, moving on to the present -- even though this phase of the judicial process has ended, no one can predict that there won't be some kind of Federal review, or a civil action, or who knows what.
So -- possibly armed with more money than they know what to do with (courtesy of those same wonderful folks who brought us the ALEC-written "Stand Your Ground Law" in the first place?) -- the P.R. machine behind Zimmerman, with the help of the same Sanford, FL local constabulary that has been helping him out from the beginning, staged a media event:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/07/22/sanford-zimmerman-rescue/2575217/
When a deputy arrived at the scene, two men had already helped the family out of the SUV. One of the men was Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch coordinator in Sanford.
Sure. ......Right after a weekend of protests all over the country, to demand justice for Trayvon.
Too convenient by half. No one's hurt, the event was stage-managed within the same friendly jurisdiction.... Cui Bono?
I find it incredibly hard to believe that anything about this "accident" was real.
