Links To Kirk Cameron's Film 'Unstoppable' Banned From Facebook; Social Network Responds

Kirk Cameron's evangelical-themed film, "Unstoppable," faced some ungodly obstacles when it was banned from both Facebook and YouTube recently.

On July 18, Cameron took to his Facebook page to alert fans that links to the website for "Unstoppable" had been blocked by the social network for allegedly being "abusive," "unsafe" and "spammy." The following day, he announced YouTube had done the same and had blocked the "Unstoppable" trailer because it was considered "spam," a "scam" and "deceptive."

"This is my most personal film about faith, hope and love, and about why God allows bad things to happen to good people. What is 'abusive' or 'unsafe' about that?!" he wrote. "Please help us encourage Facebook to unblock our website soon by sharing this post with your friends so more people can see this transparent, faith-building project."

Michael Kirkland, communications manager for Facebook, explained to The Christian Post that links to the "Unstoppable" site had been mistakenly identified as spam by Facebook's malware system.

Is it that we don't kiss God's ass quite right? Is that why the money's given to sociopathic assholes? Is THAT why gay people get beaten for who they are? Is that why the planet (specifically the U.S.A) has wholesale love affairs with violence, authoritarianism and hatred? Is that why we refuse to care for those most in need?

FUCKING ridiculous.

Religion is like a penis. It's fine that you like yours but keep it to yourself.

that could be a great comedy!

like "Due Date" with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis.

Kirk ends the trailer with that statement. Belief in something unseen and unprovable and espousing it as a way of life, indeed THE ONLY way of life we should all be living, is a cult-like endeavor.

Anyone who has to end on the note "Faith is stronger than doubt" has certainly had the Kool-Aid and is now selling "nothing" as "something." Selling a mythological being and saying one must have faith is no better than snake oil sales.

Sound like their malware detector is a good detector of bullshit and marked "Unstoppable" appropriately.
