Breaking News:::DEA Agents Raiding Washington State

The difference here from California it appears is that many in California received a written notice of warning... WASHINGTON IS NOW CAUGHT BLINDSIDED BY THE FEDS...

Now imagine the NSA and the Data collected being forwarded to the FBI and DEA.. So in a nut shell, the Federal Government has declared War on California and now the State of Washington. Colorado has been left untouched.. Why is that???

Keep in mind a Retired Official from the DEA helped Colorado set up their Cannabis Business..

NSA tops it. Homeland security is #3.

I've got a little list and they'd none of them be missed.

whereas in Oregon, next door, our legalization measure narrowly failed to pass,
so we are still a "medical marijuana" state.

As far as I know, there have been no huge DEA raids in Oregon growers & distributors
of MM weed.

I am so sick of our money being wasted on stupid things like this. What is the point of all this? Just to perpetuate the jobs of people in DEA and law enforcement?

Keep in mind the DEA has around 80% of its resources targeting Pot..
Unions from LEOs to the Courts all want Pot to stay illegal as thats their Cash Cow..Easy Money.. Easy targets..
Another is the Campaign Contributions from Drug Companies to the Beer industry all support officials who do not want Pot legal in any way or form.. It would cut into their Huge Profits..
And then there is the Far Religious Right who started this all way back before Prohibition..
Alive and organized to the teeth..

Total federal drug war spending across all agencies is about $20 billion a year.

And there's about another $20 billion a year spent by the states.

According to Americans for Safe Access, DEA spent about 4% of its budget raiding medical marijuana operations. That's still more than $100 million a year to go after medical marijuana in states where it is legal. And that's just DEA. That figure doesn't reflect Justice Department prosecution costs or Bureau of Prisons imprisonment costs. And, of course, it doesn't reflect the cost in human suffering for those who get their lives disrupted and patient who lose access to their medicine.

Feds raid medical marijuana dispensaries in Wash. — where pot is legal

Although Washington was one of the states that legalized marijuana in 2012, it remains illegal under federal law. On Wednesday, federal agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration raided several medical marijuana dispensaries in the region around Seattle. The DEA didn't reveal why it raided the "marijuana storefronts," or how many it raided. Casey Lee, an employee of one of the dispensaries in Olympia, said agents with guns drawn seized $2,500 worth of marijuana intended for cancer patients and described the incident as "humiliating." He claims a DEA agent told him, "Things are going to be hell for you."

from Congress, not the Justice Dep't? I'm pretty sure that Holder is a Dem and so is his boss, Obama. The GOP is probably not in charge of the DEA's operations, but the DEA sure is following a GOP script for the drug wars.

It was meant to poke a bit of fun at the whole "Obama's not a king/can't wave a magic wand/why don't you recognize the obstructionist GOP congress" wing of the democratic party. Guess I needed a thingy.
