Robin Roberts Nabs George Zimmerman Juror Interview For ABC News07/25/2013
Robin Roberts interviewed one of the jurors from the George Zimmerman trial for Friday's "Good Morning America."
The network announced that juror B29, named Maddy, sat for an interview with Roberts and did not conceal her identity. Portions of the discussion will air on Thursday evening's "ABC World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline." The interview will air in its entirety on Friday's "Good Morning America." Maddy was the only minority on the jury.

edit: Just saw a commercial on TV saying this juror initially supported a second-degree murder charge for Zimmerman.

(3,724 posts)Is she a black woman? I thought the jury was all white, or maybe 5 white and 1 Hispanic?

(50,375 posts)as to the make-up of the jury after the initial jury selection if they mentioned it at all. The verdict, imo, was a travesty of justice.
I will be interested in hearing from this juror and whether her 'take' on what the jury thought and did during deliberations is the same as or contradictory to Juror B37's version, the wannabe author and her attorney husband who consider Trayvon and Rachel Jeantel as "those people".

(3,724 posts)while apparently skipping Manslaughter in the process. A travesty of justice, indeed. I'm also very interested in her version of deliberations and how that compares to Idiot #B37.

(50,375 posts)she is not hiding behind anonymity. I have to say, though, if there is a planned book, a profit motive behind Juror B29's appearance then I will be as disgusted as I am with B37.
Sheldon Cooper
(3,724 posts)badly as the shockingly contrived and calculated machinations of B37 did - she lied to get on that jury, consulted with her attorney husband during the trial when she was supposed to be sequestered, and had an agent within 24 hours of the verdict. She was all about the fame and money, right from the get go. Now THAT's disgusting.
Spazito
(50,375 posts)I really do. This juror, like the 5 others, voted for a not guilty verdict. I do want to hear what she has to say, I just hope there is no agenda behind her agreeing to be interviewed. I admit I am very cynical when it comes to this case given everything that happened during the trial and after.

She says GZ will have to answer to God - but so will SHE.

(50,375 posts)and the final vote. Why did the foreperson not send a second, more narrow question, regarding the manslaughter jury instruction? What role did Juror B37 play in convincing the 3 jurors who did not vote for acquittal in the initial vote?
I have lots of questions, I hope this juror can answer them but I am not holding my breath it will happen.

(17,199 posts)I have a feeling B37 bullied B29 in the deliberations.
Spazito
(50,375 posts)my cynicism about B37 would prompt me, were I the interviewer, to ask juror B29 whether she was or not as I found B37 to be completely without credibility in everything she has said to date.

It is going to be interesting, that's for sure.

(15,435 posts)moved from Chicago to Sanford about 8 months previous to the trial. She was said to have been crying during closing arguments, especially when during Guy's summation. When I heard the verdict, my gut told me she was the one who voted 2nd degree. And as it turns out, the only one who has yet to make any type of statement, nor was she included on the letter written by other jurors.
I think of all the jurors, regardless of what she says, I feel she may have some interesting things to say. I rarely watch the show, but I'm sure it will be posted here, so am looking forward to see the comments.
