All In Favor Of Futility, Say Aye

What is with the Republicans — how’s that for a loaded question?

Futility is their motto. They just had a summer conference in Boston where they basically addressed their upcoming issues, mainly the 2014 and 2016 elections. Chairman Reince Priebus got up and told everyone in his typical goofy way that they are going to expand their tent. They’re going to be the Happy Party.

snip

Braced by their new-found jovial image of positive reinforcement, the circus entered into their final official show of hands. They warned America, the people whose votes they seek, that they are the party that knows what to do. The solution is to shut down the government — the entire government and hold it hostage over Obamacare.

Now most of the speakers forgot to mention that shutting down the government does not shut down Obamacare. It does though stop military funding, education, immigration and border security, impacts social security payments, shuts down most cabinet level departments. So when that was finally brought up, in a dismissive sense they brushed off that little tidbit with, well, we can delay Obamacare, then. That’s a victory, just like the 40 House votes which went nowhere but cost valuable time and money.

Finally they adjourned and departed Boston, full of pep and vim. They’re going to retake the senate, add seats in the house and reclaim the White House in the next presidential election.

Oh and~

Only problem is you can't really ask them about what their plan is, kind of like Romney, you just have to "VOTE" them back into office and you will see then! The only "plan" they have it to try and get re-elcected, and some of them, like McConnell are going to have a "tea party" challenger to contend with, and that scares the crap out of them. I really do hope that more of the, Boehner and Cantor come to mind, end up in the same boat, having to fight off a primary challenge from the far far crazy right wing of the party!

And I read that Rand Paul wanted to end Obama care, but that was before he was in TV yesterday where I said that might not be such a good idea! I guess Rand has been using the Romeny method of running for president where you can change your view day by day to and hope nobody notices!
