a time encountering an untimely pregnancy? Most men I've known confess at some point of their lives anxiety at having had to possibly face a pregnancy that wasn't planned: wrong time of life, economics, etc. So are right wing men the sort who knock up a woman and walk away saying to hell with it? Somehow I don't for a moment believe that some of the frontline presidential candidates only have sex when they want to have kids.
Not being male I'd like to hear why it's in a man's interest that contraception is available.

In the end, I think it all boils down to a bunch of white guys who regret they didn't have more fun when they were younger.

(6,670 posts)They want to get the girl pregnant, ruin her life, and not have to pay anything at all for it - money, reputation, nothing. That's the ideal. The next best is that the woman takes care of illegal contraception, feeling guilty, ashamed, and criminal, and is careful to hide the details from him so he doesn't have to think about it.
There are some people that are better than this, and find themselves in the right wing for different reasons, but many are consistently overt about their goal being to impose suffering. There's no purpose to it, there are only excuses. It doesn't accomplish anything except to give them the pleasure of hurting someone.

But I think they have a desire to make a choice every now and then. So, they are tempted. But they would feel guilty.
Then, they see others stepping outside the boundaries and
they want to participate more and more. But, they would feel quilty.
So, they have to stop the others from stepping outside so they don't feel badly and aren't tempted.
Sanitorium has a child with a genetic disorder. Maybe misery loves company and he wants others to be in the same boat.
Not only does he want to stop abortions. I would bet he would force everyone to be Catholic, too.
Just a thought.
Neverless, the bottom line is that he's a pain in the ass.
I don't force others to do all the fun things I do in my life.
I don't expect them to tell me I have to participate in their misery.

(11,411 posts)Where they could get a woman of the less priveleged race, lower economic status, or a "bad" reputation pregnant and simply deny paternity be off the hook. That crap happened to my grandmother back in the 1940's. Even now, his family refuses to supply DNA so my mother's half brother can know for sure who his biological father was.
I am sure that is what they are hoping for.
