Russian sports editor praises “fair-skinned” Russians’ victory over “black-skinned” foreigners

A Russian sports editor, enraged at international criticism of famed Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva - sorry, make that trashy-Monaco’s famed pole vaulter – went off on a racist rant about how proud he was to see “fair-skinned girls massively beat the black-skinned ones.”

Isinbayeva, who had just won the gold medal at the world final in Moscow this past week, got into a bit of trouble for expressing her support for Russia’s draconian new anti-gay law, while at the same time noting that gay Olympians weren’t “normal” like her and other Russians.

Well, didn’t that prompt some Aryan claws to come out. Here’s Sovietsky Sport editor Yury Tsybanev, via AFP:

It is unbelievable to me that the IOC will permit this travesty to go forward. Not only is the site entirely unsuitable for a winter Olympics, but holding the games there will severely damage the Olympic brand.

How is it possible that freedom-defending Russia isn't better than the USA in this instance? Haven't we been told by Snowden worshippers that America is evil and russia is now freedom-oriented? Or were they all teabaggers disguising themselves as concerned progressives and lying about the president? Where is the manufactured, hair on fire outrage from snowden defenders? Shouldn't they be along shortly to claim that Russia is being treated unfairly and these acts of the russian government are actually the work of Obama?
