Tuesday's melee was caught on surveillance video, which Lauderhill police released Wednesday. The video shows Jeffrey Wright, 27, repeatedly pounding the employee, Rajay Hall, 19, on the head with a handgun over an unsatisfactory coffee order while patrons tried to break up the melee.
During the altercation, Wright's wife, Alexis Longo, 22, allegedly urged Wright to shoot Hall, police said.
Hall said Wednesday that Longo never did tell him exactly what was wrong with the java that she ordered around 1 p.m. Tuesday. "You're not talking to me like I'm a dog. If [Longo had] told me it needed more sugar, it wouldn't have elevated to that point," he said.

(68,644 posts)And I'd throw into jail for some time all the assholes in that state's legislature and executive branches who are responsible for giving Concealed Weapons permits out like candy to hatefilled assholes like this pair.
If they have kids, we can find them a nice safe home with human beings.

(57,936 posts)This dude is dangerous. Manning is not.
Deterrence of the specific perpetrator should justify a long sentence. Retribution and deterrence of other perpetrators can be accomplished by shorter sentences. This dude will lose his temper again. Manning will not publish secrets again (for one thing, because he won't have access to them again).
Tax dollars will pay for these people's prison stays.
The money would be better spent on education for our kid. But violent criminals have to be deterred from similar action in the future

(1,689 posts)...it would be hard to pistol whip someone with the pistol still in the pocket.
I asked the question from watching the low definition video.

"Meanwhile, an elderly woman in a walker, who arrives at the store while the brawl is underway, attempts to squeeze through the doorway, but ultimately remains outside."

(1,397 posts)And . . . I know this is a sexist remark . . . but . . . what kind of man orders an "iced vanilla coffee?" WHAT A WUSS!!! He carries a pistol because he doesn't have a real gun. ("A real gun" . . . wink! wink! Know what I mean?)

(6,960 posts)Every Teabagger on my Facebook page is wondering where Al Sharpton is over those three kids that killed that Australian gentleman.
But I don't understand why the 'good guy' Australian didn't have a gun to stop the 'bad' guys with guns?
This happened in Oklahoma for heavens sake.
Then there is the hero school secretary who talked down the shooter in Pennsylvania. But shouldn't she have had a gun to shot that sad young man? You know, shoot first and get the facts later.
And finally, if Dunkin' Donuts let their employees carry, shouldn't the worker have shot this man and his wife?

(18,124 posts)in the general populace is palpable. Everyone wants to resort to violence too readily. Amerikkka is a sad, sad land of ignorance, backwardness and hate both for self and others. Shameful incident, repeated how many times a day? Scary out here.
