The crazed logic here is that it’s far better for a dysfunctional health care system to wait for an individual without health insurance to get critically ill and then seek treatment in an emergency room where, unable to pay for the treatment, the costs are passed on to everyone else. On what planet does this make the least bit of sense?

It is also a cruel and heartless approach to dealing with human life when it is an indisputable fact that thousands of Americans die each year because they cannot afford proper medical care.
