Oregon Man Holds Up Bank For $1, Waits To Be Arrested To Get Health Care
Timothy Dean Alsip, 50, is homeless and needed health care, so he allegedly robbed a bank so he could medical attention.
Deputy Mark Nikolai, sheriffs office spokesman, said a man entered the Bank of America branch, 9171 S.E. 82nd Ave., at 10:20 a.m. and approached a teller.
He handed over a note saying This is a hold up. Give me a dollar, Nikolai said. After receiving $1, he had a seat in the lobby.
Alsip, who told police he had no permanent address, does not have a criminal record in Oregon.
Nikolai said deputies determined that Alsip sought to be arrested so he could get medical care.

But, we have the best healthcare system in the world. Or so I'm told. Bull Shit. We need single payer.

Misdiagnosis is a HUGE problem. I've heard numbers as high as 45%, no matter what you pay. I can kick in my 2 cents as well, because I've been to many doctors and gotten nowhere until one of them gets a good enough hunch to figure part of it out.
We need single payer and a new way of looking at things- giving people various poisons and cutting things out of them or burning them out seems to have run its course as a good strategy for helping people get better.

Those with nothing to lose will seek purpose and they inevitably will find it. The purpose will evolve into an inevitable movement to improve their collective lives. A horde of people with nothing to lose will follow inevitable leaders, from their own ranks, that are aligned with that purpose.
It is inevitable.
