FBI stats: Whites overwhelmingly kill whites, blacks overwhelmingly kill blacks

To the contrary of what Pat Robertson, Pat Buchanan, and other right-wing racists are spewing these days, the FBI's murder statistics, broken out by race, tell the real story: 83% of whites who were murdered in 2011 (single victim/single offender) were murdered by FELLOW WHITES; 91% of blacks who were murder in 2011 (single victim/single offender) were murdered by FELLOW BLACKS. There is VERY LITTLE inter-racial murder in this country, let alone black-on-white murder specifically (just 448 of those in 2011 out of around 6,100 total single victim/single offender murders in that year.

And most murderers are well known to their victims.

I suspect that if race relations in America improve, you'll actually see *more* interracial murder!

I wish you wouldn't have posted this. People are going to make a big deal that 14% of white victims were murdered by blacks and only 7% of black victims were murdered by whites.

Murder is WRONG, lets focus on that -- not on race.
