Obamas Thoughts and Prayers for Chris Lane's Family
____ US PRESIDENT Barack Obama has sent his thoughts and prayers to the family of slain Australian baseballer Chris Lane.
As news of the random shooting death continued to make headlines in the US, the President took time out from a tour selling his college reforms to make a statement about the tragedy.
He said through White House spokesman Matt Lehrich that Lane's family and friends were going through trying times.
"As the President has expressed on too many tragic occasions, there is an extra measure of evil in an act of violence that cuts a young life short. The President and First Lady's thoughts and prayers are with Chris Lane's family and friends in these trying times," Mr Lehrich said in a statement to the Sunday Herald Sun.

Has life become so cheap for some people that they are now shooting anyone going by because they are bored????????
That's why this particular crime is so shocking. Bad enough that a young man was killed, but to find out that he was murdered just because three teens were bored is beyond depressing. What are we becoming a society when some teens think nothing of killing a guy passing them just for kicks?
I'm glad that Obama sent his condolences to Chris Lane's family.
