Wisconsin Capitol protester released from jail, no charges yet...

But most disappointing to the large crowd of Terrells supporters who gathered inside the small viewing room at the Public Safety Buildings initial appearance courtroom was that Terrell was barred from being on the Capitol grounds as long as his case is pending. That means he will not be able to attend the daily noontime Solidarity Singalong, which has been the subject of a police crackdown in recent weeks, leading to more than 300 arrests.
The state Department of Administration contends that the gathering is illegal because participants do not have a permit.
According to a probable cause affidavit written by Capitol Police, Officer James Brooks was treated at St. Marys Hospital for an injury to his right ring finger, and bruises and scrapes on his left hand.
Brooks wrote in the affidavit that Terrell was taking photographs and was told to leave the Capitol but would not. He wrote that as he tried to handcuff Terrell, he resisted and tried to pull away from Brooks. He wrote that he took Terrell to the floor, and when he pulled his arms out from under Terrell, his watch was broken off of his wrist and he had cuts and scrapes.
