Kerry won't rule out "boots on the ground" because he can't. No one can.

Once we're involved in this, we're in.

We're taking sides in a civil war, and in doing so, our forces WILL BE utilized by those who stand to profit in controlling this strategic country. We won't back down. Either the rebels win and we get control quickly... or slowly.

There's no ruling out boots on the ground -- the whole purpose of bombing is to "take a side" in this civil war. If our side isn't winning we're going to double-down. Period. Full stop.
