Who are you 'rooting' for in the Michigan GOP primary?

I know Kos and a bunch of places are cheering on Santorum to stretch out the GOP clusterfuck.

Could Santorum actually be nominated? Or could the establishment turn on Romney if he looks to weak and plan for a savior?

If this thing goes to convention, is it more dangerous? Could the GOP could pick a non-damaged candidate (particularly Gov. Christie Creme) and be much more formidable in the general?

Would a damaged and weakened Romney be more preferable?

The more time and money Romney has to spend trying to secure the nomination, the less of each he's going to have to rehabilitate his image in the general election. As it is, Mitt has already provided the fodder for a thousand or so opposition commercials. The Republicans are in big time trouble, and every dollar spent on the Romney/Santorum battle (or if you prefer, the Romney/Santorum/Gingrich three-way - I know I don't prefer that) means another dollar not available to Republicans in the general election.

They will be beaten up by their own party pretty bad and if it goes to a convention it will be chaos for them. ALOT of in-party fighting and zero enthusiasm.

by the establishment Republicons over the low poll numbers for Romney in Michigan about a week ago. If he were indeed to lose, it would go over the top, and there would be an explosion in the GOP that would be good for us. The infighting might continue for years.
