2. Crocodile tears?

Can't believe someone would say that.

All week long I've felt like I'm in the minority - that think that we should punish Assad for killing the children.

I've seen tons of folks talk about all sorts of things regarding Syria and 'the children' has not been the majority of the focus.

I never saw a thread here with candles for 'the children' - perhaps I missed it in the past. But I thought it was time for us all to remember 'the children'.

And I am accused of crocodile tears?

Bless your heart!

Not a month later after we've been wrangling here over a proposed unilateral response by the U.S.

As a copycat thread following this, it kind of pales in its sincerity:

If anyone thinks that I am not sincere then they don't know me very well.

And if I am the only one on this thread that ends up with a candle posted for the kids then I am fine with that,
I will know that I've posted one for them and that is all that is important to me.

I love you as a poster and fellow member here, but this thread, now, is not a good idea.

You may just want to self-delete. As I said, you're better than this.

Whether it was real or not. Who had the motivation for it. What the response should be, and so on. I can't even remember all the "incubator baby" comments I heard. I even fell into that discussion trap as I was initially skeptical that there was even a chemical attack at all (I regrettably speculated that it may have been a tear gas attack gone wrong).

A few days ago I posted a video playlist of the aftermath and was immediately trashed for wanting to pull on peoples heart strings and call for war or something (when I have been against it from the start). After seeing the videos though it made me feel that I'd overlooked the larger picture, that an event did transpire and it was extremely bad.

I don't disagree with you here, I think that if we were to strike the 1400 dead are going to be exchanged with at least 3000 dead in the first week from bullets and bombs. The OP is obviously a copycat thread intended to rile more than anything.

We went through a lot together, didn't we? Fun times!

But as you've seen, anything smacking of an emotional appeal from either side is now suspect.

As is the casualty number served up by the administration.

The timing of this post, following the post I linked above, does not seem to be coincidental. The timing makes it appear to be just more of the war posts between the two sides.

OT: I hope all is well with you, my good friend.

PS: I had a bluescreen crash in the middle of typing this post. Damn you, Josh and your infernal jokes!
