horrendously bad idea. Particularly if labeling laws aren't in place to let consumers know where the chicken came from and/or was processed.

I gave up shrimp because of the filth they are raised in in Thailand
I gave up tilapia because of the filth they are raised in in Mexico
I gave up anything coming out of the Gulf of Mexico because of the carcinogen Corexit applied after the oil spill
I gave up beef liver because the antibiotics fed to cows collect in the liver
I gave up drinking milk because of the puss allowed in infected udders
I'm suspicious of fish because cheaper fish (like tilapia) is sometimes switched for the better fish you think you are buying

AND NOW I HAVE TO GIVE UP CHICKEN!!!!

What the hell is left for us carnivores?

But think about giving up chicken because they are allowed in the USA to be fed arsenic: it makes the meat look prettier.
Arsenic in chicken feed is banned in most other countries around the world.

that with the problems we already have
encountered with different products from China plus pet food and pet treats that
they would prohibit human food.
And it's gross because there is no
guarantee that the product doesn't
contain rats or dogs or cats that have been
killed.
It really makes me angry and sick.
I clicked on the last link in that article
to read the letter from the man at the
dept of agriculture sent to China clearing
them for production. It has his
name and email so maybe getting a
petition going might help? Probably
not

There's something fishy about these chickens.

Chinese police have uncovered an illegal food storage site in China's southern city of Nanning that reportedly contained chicken feet nearly a half century old. According to the South China Morning Post, more than 20 tonnes of expired meat were seized in the raid, including beef tripe, cartilage, and the aforementioned chicken feet, some of which dated all the way back to 1967. The site was busted back in May, though the details of the operation have only been made public recently.
