Texas AG candidate: Less abortion, and start squeezing out more GOP babies !!!!

The demographics of Texas voters is a growing concern for many of the state’s Republicans, who worry that the rising number of Latinos could turn the state from a solid red to purple, or even eventually blue. Their power as a party already showed signs of weakness this summer when it took not one, but two special sessions in order to get a simple majority vote to pass a massive omnibus abortion bill that could close down most of the clinics in the state.

Barry Smitherman, who is running for the GOP Attorney General nomination, has a simple way to turn that trend around. Smitherman says: “more babies, less abortion!”

According to the Texas Tribune, Smitherman, speaking at a recent “leadership circle” luncheon for Texas Alliance for Life, told the attendees that the state would be in much better shape economically and politically if it weren’t for abortion since the unborn “would have voted Republican.” ...............(more)

All those screaming little bundles arriving must have an R in the middle of their for heads! In the case of some Repubs it might be FOUR heads since they seem to talk out of so many sides of their mouths at time there has to be duplicates.
Whatever happened to quality of life and not quantity?
Outside of those who are charmed with ample cash and health care to boot how many really can afford to breed recklessly? How many can justify putting more strain on the planet at a time when fracking is using up all our drinkable water,corporations are eating away at our forests and building structures on every bare square of land? How can we be selfish enough to have more little humans that will grow up finding no work no matter how much education they get? If we can't guarantee healthcare, jobs, an affordable place to live, and safety as well, we are the selfish ones.
Of course the "dark side" has often been known to be selfish and can't see any point of worrying about tomorrow except for fearing there will be less future voters. I wonder what they would say if someone pointed out that there is no way of knowing who they would vote for--that is if we can stay out of war long enough to survive for another generation.
