Betty White is now in the Guiness Book of World Records

Betty White has had a career for the record books, and finally, it’s getting officially acknowledged: The 2014 edition of the "Guinness World Records" book will now list the 91-year-old comedian and actress as the record-holder for Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female).

“I was astounded when they called to tell me,” she told Guinness in an interview. “’Who? Me!?!’ It’s such an honor.”

Guinness says the record is attributed to her 74 years of work in the industry, from her 1939 debut to the present day. White is known for appearing in such legendary shows as “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Golden Girls,” and in recent years has had a resurgence in popularity with her series “Hot in Cleveland.”

She said that if she could have had any other profession aside from acting, she’d have picked "zookeeper." But, she added, "I have no regrets at all. None. I consider myself to be the luckiest old broad on two feet."

I have a Great Aunt who is the same age. At the end of this month her and I are flying to Oklahoma so she can visit her 94-year-old cousin. Should be a great trip.

74 years and she is still sharp and her comedic timing hasn't lost its edge.

She is such a joy to watch, especially on a talk show.

The whole cast was over the top wonderful.

Hard to find reruns of those shows tho! Must be vise gripped licensed. I suppose you can buy a boxed set but I'm not into spending that kind of money for trivialities like that, even if it is MTM.
