Can we at long last at least agree that supporting the NRA is "rooting for the other side" now??
A campaign finance report released Tuesday covering Aug. 23 to Aug. 29 shows the NRA's new contribution to the races. The organization's total contribution so far is about $361,700.
Senate President John Morse of Colorado Springs and Pueblo Sen. Angela Giron are facing recalls Sept. 10.

(8,142 posts)How much have bloom bergs group and mark Kelly's group contributed to battle this and promote gun control in Colorado when they don't live there?
Let the people of CO deal with it themselves.

(8,142 posts)If so, you get upset way too easily over trivial things in a state you probably don't live in.

(39,665 posts)Neither are elected Democrats losing seats. I live here, thank you, and prefer Democrats to Republicans.
Clearly that's not everyone's thing.

It reported spending $381,642 on ads and campaign consultants in the past two months.
Those funds include the Bloomberg pass-through contribution and another one from billionaire philanthropist Eli Broad for $250,000.

(39,665 posts)You also object to Bloomberg donating money to Democratic campaigns?? What is this, backwards day on DU?

(18,585 posts)I vote for real democrats with populist policies, not the moneyed 1% who care more about big business and protecting their lobbying careers after they leave office than they do about people.
I don't care if he endorses the second coming of JFK, Samuel Gompers, Cesar Chavez, and Rich Trumka all rolled into one. I evaluate candidates on their own merits- his endorsement would make me seriously question what I thought I knew about a candidate.
Him, Ray Kelly, and his 'private army' can go fuck themselves, no matter what letter they stick behind their names.
Clear enough?

(18,585 posts)How does it feel to be supporting that POS 'democrat-when-it-suits-me' and his lackeys who like to spy on muslims and feel up overwhelmingly innocent brown boys?

(7,745 posts)Like it or not, the NRA is a pro gun organization and many people in the Democratic party have been pushing for draconian firearms restrictions. What do you think Pro-gun organizations are going to do when politicians support draconian restrictions?
MY Democratic Rep (Dingell) gets an A+ rating and money from the NRA. But don't let reality stop your erroneous fallacious bimodal thinking.

Ah well, it's Friday night, and the subject of guns doesn't always bring out one's best.
