Really---is that where it's going?
Well I say bring it on!

(26,060 posts)has turned many DUers in cranky little whiners. They sure showed their true colors the past few days.

(22,239 posts)Just in case the opposing sides ever decide it might just be easier to dispense with the formalities.
Some are howling because they were just plain wrong. They were so damn sure bombs were going to rain down and tanks would be rolling.

(4,276 posts)BHO is my hero and I do worship him...if only from afar.

(29,047 posts)but I do strongly suspect President Obama bent to public pressure, which is good.

(24,096 posts)this wasn't done in a week, it was a long process of about a year or more of manoevering and baiting and all that tricky stuff that he seems to do really well to get the best he can for an end result.

(27,275 posts)and I find this racism b.s. offensive. people can have strong opinions against Obama and not be racists. on the other hand, people can claim to love Obama and be racists.

(7,804 posts)... the opposition to which is "no there needs to be a diplomatic solution"...
then there IS a diplomatic solution...
And those who were originally pushing for bombing are pointing at those who preferred the diplomatic solution and saying that they are refusing to admit that they were in the wrong.
That's actually very weird.
Their guy, who wanted to do the bombing, can't anymore through having been circumvented by another agency... but... no.... actually it was his idea all along... and he's cleverer than everyone.
What would YOU call a person who propounds such things?

(21,115 posts)that is most decidely NOT what happened...not by a long shot.
Do I need to remind you the things I was called for following the smartest man in the room?
Sucks when the dude you thought was sooooo incompetent...proves you were the incompetent one doesn't it?

(7,099 posts)Obama wound up in our camp (not by first preference, but still) and now the hawks are all claiming they were here all along and that it is, actually, their camp. I can't say I've ever seen more delusion in a group of DUers than I have in the last few days.

(11,709 posts)But many of the responses in this thread prove that the hero worship of Obama is out of control. Many worshippers are so insecure in themselves they need to hate the infidels in order to feel better.

(15,805 posts)it ain't just Syria. Any time you refuse to join in throwing Obama under the nearest bus you get tagged with that slur (or any of several others). Consistent, but annoying.

(344 posts)It's pretty obvious. Taking Syria's outcome and spinning it into a failure is really stretching things. All to find something to complain about.

(47,953 posts)I do think Obama made the most of an opportunity. I give him full credit for that. I hope like hell this averts war and bombings. But I don't believe he 'had this planned exactly like this for months' and I don't believe he is this super-intelligent perfect being.
Perhaps the belittling can stop from both sides now. Or perhaps not.
