George Zimmerman Update: Police release dash camera video in alleged domestic dispute, report says

(CBS) LAKE MARY, Fla. -Lake Mary police on Tuesday released a dash camera video showing police approaching George Zimmerman after a reported domestic dispute with his estranged wife, Shellie, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

In the video, Zimmerman can be seen walking backwards towards a police vehicle with his hands in the air. He's also seen kneeling with his hands behind his head as police approach him and apparently handcuff him.

Monday afternoon, Shellie Zimmerman called Lake Mary authorities to her parents' home, saying her estranged husband was threatening her and her father with a gun. Days earlier, she had filed for divorce.

"He's in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying 'step closer' and he's just threatening all of us," Shellie Zimmerman said in a 911 call.

The whole thing could have ended there. Even better, he should have stayed in his car.
