and know we can do this! Click the image and donate what you can to PCJFs Thank you Edward Snowden! bus ad campaign!
Excerpted from the link at my other post on PBS "Top Secret America" this is from a blog that got sent to me:
[div class="excerpt" style="width:80%"]Saying thank you to NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden never goes out of style especially when you can make surveillance state bureaucrat heads explode by saying it on the side of a Metro bus. * That seems to be the thinking over at the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund (PCJF), who are fundraising to do just that right in a certain metropolitan area:
[blockquote style="white-space:nowrap"]The elites in D.C. may not ride the bus, but they cant avoid reading the
bus! We want the world to see that we, The People of the United States,
support Edward Snowden, and oppose the creation of a surveillance state
without our consent.
Lets give them a hand, shall we?
We assume some of your donation may also go towards the great work PCJF does year in and year out; late last year, for example, they obtained FOIA documents proving the FBI was already surveilling the Occupy movement prior to the famous Zucotti Park occupation in 2011.
So your donation will be well spent indeed. (If no, when! you do contribute, please leave a comment so we can get an idea how much we helped out PCJF (with) their excellent Thank You Edward Snowden! campaign (...)

PS: while youre at it, please add your name to our Van Hollen, Delaney: Wrong on NSA petition, chiding our representatives for their regrettable No votes on the Amash-Conyers amendment, but suggesting concrete legislative steps they can take to make amends.

* (EXPLANATORY DISCLAIMER) Dear NSA: the phrase make someones head explode should not be taken literally. Rather, it is a figure of speech describing the act of vexing someone, in this case for their (well, your) unpopularity.
I know nothing about this other than what I read above, so if anyone has any details, feel free...

(12,875 posts)And b) Obama spectacularly messed up (not my original choice of words) foreign policy negotiations over Syria.
If we were going to invade Syria the time to do so would have been when we went into Libya for its oil instead.
Then we might have been able to oust Assad at a time when hard-liners still ran the Iranian Executive office.
Why didn't we? Because Obama didn't want to appear to be doing anything that Occupy and its allied groups
supported at the time. (Same reason DC just voted to repeal a living wage act in order to let Wal-Mart in.)
As Hillary would be quick to point out, Syria has no oil. (she's the one who said we had to keep some sort of
presence in Iraq because we had a vital interest in its natural resources.)

I still would like to repost my scans of the graphics from the
original Post article but I guess I'll have to go and see if they
are still online because I guess I'm not allowed to if they are?
Funny how copyright law prevents spreading needed information...
I had a post written up and everything this summer.
