towards ReTHUGs when they find out that they have been more than lying about Obamacare. The blow back is going to be breath-taking.
You think they're eating one another now - wait until their financiers turn on them for not delivering...again.

Dems should be pushing one line now - why don't ReTHUGs want you to have access to decent health care.

(13,614 posts)told his insurance was going up from $362 to $860 per month. I calculated out what he'd have to be making under Obamacare, given the 1% penalty if he opted out, to have to pay $860 per month. $1.3 million!
Then I posted the Washington state exchange rate calculator link. It turns out the guy is about in my range in all categories and it's be about $360 per month I think for the silver plan. I still think that sucks a little but he's an independent contractor. If he's like most of those guys I know, he probably does some work under the table and might be able to game the system a bit and get a higher subsidy.
I then added that my employer sent out a notice that nothing changes for us. I still pony up $35 per month. So I then suggested her guy get a job! I know. I just couldn't resist! LOL

(31,706 posts)...if they attempt to take it away. The system is being implemented in a way where different people will be affected by it in different ways at different times, so I don't expect some great uptick in the AHCA's popularity any time soon. However...let the rushpublicans gain control of both houses and attempt to repeal some or all of it and then they'll be pissing up the wrong tree. Remember, the rushpublicans gained seats in the '66 elections following the enacting of Medicare and the Civil Rights Act...

(111,317 posts)simply go about their business pretending they never believed it was going to fall, not like those hysterics over there.
I don't think there will be any blowback unless the Republicans are stupid enough to keep fighting it after it kicks in and people are pleasantly surprised that it's not quite as abusive as the old nonsystem.
Republicans are that stupid, of course. Whether or not cooler heads prevail and they go on to tilt at some other windmill is the question.
