Has the pre-existing condition clause kicked in? My wife is able to apply for insurance at her

job. The insurance the company has isn't that great her doctors on the plan are extremely limited BUT if she has to take that insurance will her lung issues be held against her as a pre-existing condition? If they do reject her does that mean she is stuck with payments to that insurance company and trying to find another?


I ask that question because once I sign up yearly for my coverage than that's it. You are stuck paying until next sign in period.

That's the beauty of group policies: they don't ask your medical history.

I helped a friend get a great policy in California. First she had to have an application denied, then she qualified for PCIP.

Your state plans might vary.
