associated FTA issues?
Please let me know in this thread. Skinner says if there's enough interest we can have such a group.

(7,099 posts)It would be great to have the info in one place. As is a big chunk of my bookmarks are your TPP threads.

But apparently there's a lot to learn about today's "Democrats".

(39,215 posts)president to voice our opinions. I so would like to write the president about what is in my heart but I fear the letter would be so long that he would never see it anyhow. We need some real USEFUL ways of working against this problem.

thank you.

(39,215 posts)the show in Washington. We are all great activists here on DU but as we know activism works better when we join together and work toward a specific goal. We need more groups like this.

(32,017 posts)I like seeing TPP articles front-and-center in GD. I would not like to see them relegated to a small, insular group (like the BOG). Of what value would a DU group be to those of us who would like to see the TPP die?
Genuinely curious.

(114,904 posts)that all the TPP information could be found in one place. Also, as jwirr suggests, it could be a forum for activism.
If we get such a group, I would cross post a lot of the ops I write.
When writing letters to representatives, I can imagine it would be useful to have the data in a centralized location.
Still, please cross-post everything. And I hope people respond openly in the GD threads, not the group threads, because I want this issue front-and-center (openly discussed and with as large an audience as possible).

(30,481 posts)But please understand, I became aware of the TPP because of your posting in GD. I would hate for FTA issues to be posted in a single forum only. I have limited time here during the day and really just read GD, that way I see multiple different news stories.
That being said, there is more than enough out there with respect to foreign trade to support a group. The importance of these negotiations and agreements is monumental. I would support a group, just understand how I became educated about the TPP.

(114,904 posts)Should such a group be formed, I have every intention of cross posting.

(5,379 posts)It would be great to have a group, but the issue is so much underreported and people keep saying things like "we don't know what is in it", so cross-posting in GD is needed for exposure.

The thing about a group is that we can have a ton of useful information in one place so that it's easy to reference. In addition, we can use it as a platform for activism.
thanks for your support.
