..... imagine what would have happened.

Punches thrown? Fingers pointed in an angry verbal confrontation?

OMG..... I've got a headache in my eye.

4. Hey, there was enough stupid going around that scene that anything else could have been used.

She should have left the nut alone and not chased him but since both seem to have been confrontational types, I can imagine any number of items being used by one of them to thonk, stab, slice, bludgeon, or otherwise hurt the other.

Wednesday's chain of events began with a dispute between Webster and his wife, then escalated after Webster ran a red light and nearly collided with Alger's car. Alger pursued and then confronted Webster, who responded by killing her on the side of in St. Albans, population 7,000, said Lt. Ron Hoague of St. Albans police.

It's not to blame the victim, but it's not like she didn't play a role in making it up close and personal.

5. She did make a mistake.

She assumed the guy with the gun wasn't ready and willing to shoot her.

No, not everybody who likes carrying around a gun is chomping at the bit to shoot people. But maybe you can see why people look askance at people walking around with guns whether in their hand or on their hip.

calling her a confrontational "type." is extremely dehumanizing and quite fucking ugly to have to read.

Question, how do you know when it is a nut who almost kills you while driving badly instead of just a bad driver? I guess your ESP keeps you from making those kinds of mistakes.

12. Don't chase after a crazy driver. That's a crazy thing to do.

You ask:

Question, how do you know when it is a nut who almost kills you while driving badly instead of just a bad driver? I guess your ESP keeps you from making those kinds of mistakes.

What happened, according to article:

Alger pursued and then confronted Webster,

Alger had followed him, and she got out of the car to ask Webster why he cut her off.

That's just not something a person should do, not with a perfect stranger who is driving recklessly.

They might have a gun.

Any cop will tell you, do not engage a crazy driver.

She is 100% to blame for engaging a crazy person and she should have avoided him altogether.

8. Blame the victim on rightwing boards, pal. We don't accept that kind of garbage here.

It's truly fucking sick for death enthusiasts to blame someone who just had a psychopath's gun unloaded in her. You're far outside this community's norms, and you need to shelve the hate.

Chase down and confront a road raging person makes you a participant in a road raging fight.

Gun or no gun, she shouldn't mess with angry drivers.

They might have guns.

that it's never a good idea to stop and confront someone during a road-rage incident. People are so frazzled and on edge today, you never know what state of mind you'll encounter.

We were doing knife and gun defense practice last night (close quarters), but as you can see from this tragic instance, there was really nothing the victim could've done to protect herself (aside from not confronting the guy).
