They need to consider what those who voted for Obama want him to do. Then they need to consider how many people in their district voted for them.
Then they need to realize who 54% of the electorate voted for. This will not end well for the Republicans. They are very bad at arithmetic if they think they have the upper hand and the support of the US citizens.

They are completely oblivious to, and uninterested in, the rest of the voters in this country - they care only about being reelected in their districts, and the only way they can do that is by being more right-wing and anti-Obama than any potential primary challenger.

(7,820 posts)That this often is what their voters want, even if the vast majority of Americans disagree. Millions more voters voted fir Democratic congress members this last time than Repubs, but in many "red"or "purple" states the dems got concentrated into just a couple districts.

Think about that.
The voters won't stop them. Not a chance.
