In other words...... the demand and interest is so overwhelming, the websites are having trouble keeping up.
This is GREAT news. If nobody wanted to have anything to do with this horrible law, all the websites would be working just fine.

(1,448 posts)the great deals they can get, they are signing up. Going to cause problems for future Rethug politicians who try to run on killing ACA. The GOP will not be trusted with Congress for 40 years -- the length of time to cement ACA into place and flush every Rethug and turncoat DEM who voted to kill ACA. Flash: my "trooper" nephew just got insurance in Texas.

(5,519 posts)There is a script that is not letting me get a log in.
It is "https://rum-static.pingdom.net/prum.min.js"
I have reset my security settings to "medium" and accepted cookies from the site, but alas, when I get to the security questions the fields and drop boxes are all blank and that's where it all stops.
Guess I'll try again when it's not so busy... maybe at 3 am? Next month?

(34,117 posts)whose idea they think it was. I just want it to have a chance to get off the ground because - just like marriage equality, once it is a reality and people see the world doesn't end (and there is actually a lot of good coming from it), we can start fixing the things we've identified that are wrong (the family glitch, subsidies directly to the poor (in states with recalcitrant governors who refuse expanded Medicaid)) . . . and then, maybe, on to a single payer system!

(10,362 posts)Since early this morning. It's never cool to have a launch day failure, but it does indicate an overwhelming demand. I would guess that even people who already have healthcare insurance are curious about whether they can save money on Obamacare.

(10,749 posts)Maybe this is a ploy. Demand so overwhelming that you can't apply.
How's this for an alternative approach that wasn't taken. Develop the system so that when you apply the process is seemless and damn near instantaneous.
Hey, I have insurance, so I'm looking for lower premiums and pre-existing conditions coverage. I can wait a few days to get the ACA process going. But it would have been nice not to be met with a system down error message.

(45,563 posts)When do we have millions and millions of people accessing a brand new site at the same time? Of course it would overwhelm servers. That's just how it works. This has happened to online retailers on black friday for example.

(19,768 posts)Got to security questions, which I did last night, but nothing in questions fields, there's a drop-down menu button, but nothing drops down. I wrote answers in the answer fields anyway, but it didn't like that.

Of course they don't want people to figure that out.
