An alternative

Okay, I have an idea how to end this shutdown and all the threats of the debt ceiling not being lifted. Here's what to do:

President Obama makes a national address and states that he is considering stopping all military activity, world wide. He will bring all the troops back home, all of them. This will open up enough money to pay all the bills AND pay all those losing their paychecks from the shutdown. You want to see the Repugs move fast, start screaming and go into panic mode??!! This will do it!! This will turn this situation upside down and it will be nothing but ' yes men' from then on out. Call their bluff, straight up. This is something only HE is in charge of, the troops and the military activity. Congress can't do a thing to stop this. And as far as the facts go, these wars and military excursions are costing this explosion of the budget... NOT SS or MEDICARE! Always money for the military, while they are demanding the poor lose part of their benefits. Okay, flame away
