Always trying to minimize the "impact" like it was some benign inconvienence. Yet they were late to mention that the FARM bill expired and that thousands and thousands of farmers have subsidies that are or will be expiring (the lamestream M$M preferred to focus on "SNAP" and "inner city" (a code word for "black&quot instead) and they are only now finding out all the other things that government does outside of the National Parks.

I believe they said that 1/6 of the government is shutdown.

"The government shutdown" must not be playing well for the GOPee, so the corporate media is trying to help them out a bit. Interesting that this appears to be a coordinated effort between stations.
