Airbnb Has To Hand Over User Data To New York City Attorney General Eric Schneiderman

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is cracking down on the apartment-sharing site Airbnb and its users, demanding that the company hand over user data on an estimated 15,000 New York City apartment hosts.

Longer sublets may or may not be legal, and there are hoops to jump through. It differs if your apartment is rent-stabilized or not. It may depend on the terms of your lease. It's NYC; it's complicated.
