New DUer's AWESOME idea -- a MOCK VOTE on the CR on steps of Capitol

From new DU-er Noonart:

Maybe someone can help me answer this question. Why can't the congress critters, D's and R's, who are in favor of bringing the clean CR to a vote... convene somewhere else... say the steps of the capitol or in the national cathedral or somewhere with some historical resonance, and lots of cameras, and very publicly take the vote without the Speaker.

They would be on the record and expose the lie of the Speaker, that the votes do not exist to bring the CR to the floor.

I know the vote would not be binding, but would expose the gross hypocrisy of Orangina and might change the media meme as well.

Just asking?

Please push this idea. The strategy is outstanding.

Tweet it out there!!!

Send it to Alan Grayson and everyone you can.

to the floor.

So, except if the goal is to expose their hypocrisy, it is useless.

Undermine the Speaker. I think if a clean bill came to the floor they'd support it, but they're only gonna "push" so hard.
