Why Doesn't A Dem Just Say It We Will Not Negotiate With You For The Same Reason We Don't Negotiate.

with 'hostage takers' or 'terrorists'.

It basically the same reason the President is refusing to negotiate with the Repugs until they pass a clean CR and don't send us into default.

Point out to the American people - with that analogy - that this is the reason. If you negotiate with terrorists once - they only do it again - because they got away with it and we cracked or succumbed under their pressure.

Same thing with the Repugs now. They will keep doing this over and over and over because they got away with it and we didn't hold our ground.

I think that the American People can connect with that explanation and analogy.

Why the fuck not?

No CR without Medicare for All.
No debt ceiling increase unless the top tax rate is raised to 50% and carried interest is treated as ordinary income.

Then we can 'negotiate' and both of us drop our stupid demands.

and made John Kerry give lots of speeches on how bad the government is...

then the tea partiers would be pleading to keep it open.
