I don't know anything about this website, but my cousin, who posted it, does tend towards RWNJ syndrome. I don't know where to start to debunk this.

(7,932 posts)of dark skinned man grabbing their crotch and giving the finger, I'm gonna chalk this one up instantly as a lie and a half.
and the fact that the "You may like" section has something about Sasha Obama's real name is not Sasha and one titles, "Is this why he won't release his medical records?" With a picture of the President.

(4,112 posts)for help in proving that it's bullshit. He posted it with very negative commentary and he is a high-level LEO in a fairly large city. I don't want him to get away with spreading this crap without a cogent counter.

"About 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J."
The "illegal immigrants" shit in your OP link is more right-wing dreck alleging that all brown people are "illegals."
This is an immigration rally, period.
P.S. Doing research on Google is half my job. When you come across a questionable story like this, a good first stop is Snopes.com. If it isn't there, search google using the questionable headline, but with the word "debunking" at the beginning. I found the above article with the google search "debunking national mall open to illegal immigrants." Odds are, someone has already done the work for you, because the internet always wins.
Happy hunting.

(58,179 posts)Also, several others have posted similar non-douchebaggy versions of the Examiner story in this thread, CNN etc. Should be the ticket.
And you're very welcome.

"Under the same First Amendment rights that are allowing Honor Flight veterans and their families to visit the veterans memorials on the National Mall, other groups will be granted access to the park for First Amendment activities in accordance with National Park Service established regulations," Litterst said in a statement.

and would have told you the "news" story is on the Conservative Examiner site ( not to be confused with SF Examiner)
About the guy who wrote this:
Steven H. Ahle is the author of six books and is the editor of RedStatements.co
He is also a regular contributor to The DC Clothesline and the Conservative Firing Line.
Plus..at the bottom usually, sometimes the top of a web site there is something labled "about".
click on that, it usually gives information about the site, at a minimum it mentions names you can Google.

(154,021 posts)But like anywhere else, you have folks spreading shit like this. Truly it is the user. I have "unfriended" people sending this crap on the first try to get it through. It is like ignore, and as far as I am concerned, they can stay in their echo chamber. Trying to debunk this, and it would be easy, will fall in the same deaf ears.

(11,804 posts)Anythign on Face book is true. And not just illegal aliens - he's also preparing us for invasion from our new Reticulon Overlords.
And I for one am eager to welcome our Reticulon Overlords. Sure they have a taste for human flesh but that just means they will want us to be healthy and well marbled.

(63,645 posts)...the article doesn't explain what the hell it is referring to. It just says that Obama is going to open the Mall to some illegal immigrants, and they are going to have some sound equipment. But they don't actually explain what this is referring to.
That's a pretty big hint that this is spin. They aren't telling the actual story because the actual story is probably not offensive.

(53,082 posts)The Examiner is a RW source, which the title of the article should tell you if nothing else. Ever been to DC? The mall is open to EVERYONE. It's a public space.

(4,112 posts)I wanted to be able to directly refute it, not just point out that it's RW drivel. Not that most RWers listen to logic and fact, but I have to at least make the attempt. I was not familiar with the Examiner at all. Will Pitt helped me out with a reasonable rebuttal (and great advice on how to find them for myself in the future).
