I hope Pelosi/House Democrats vote "No" on short term funding.

Boehner has elevated himself in his mind as a virtual co-President.

The idea of a short term funding bill is a terrible idea but it is the best terrible idea out there.

If the House passes it then the Senate should pass it and the President should sign it.

But Pelosi and the Democrats should not give any help to anything that doesn't fund through to next elections for the obvious reason that we will be in the same place in 6 months with the Republicans wanting to talk about more cuts in expenditures and no increases in revenue, a recipe for further breakdown.

Make Boehner scrape and beg for every Republican vote and show how really weak he is. Best case scenario he can't pass the bill and has to negotiate with Pelosi for a longer term. Worst case scenario he manages to keep his caucus together but realizes that getting help from Pelosi the next time is going to require real negotiations.

I've been unimpressed with Pelosi ever since 2006 when she took impeachment off the table. AnotherMcIntosh Oct 2013 #1

I don't claim to know a lot about budgetary funding, but this wave of BS is not the way to do things.
Sequestration, shutdown, debt ceiling over and over.
