that they can (and almost certainly will) intend another round of extortion. Better to bite the bullet right now and wait them out.

Clean CR + debt ceiling of some duration.

The Repubs would have the higher ground. If it's a truly clean CR and truly clean debt limit, he has to take them even if it's only short term fix.

found out the WH Comment Line is closed due to the government shutdown. So as an American Citizen I can't even express my feelings and feel that I can contribute.

Don't do it Mr. President. Hold firm. We will support you. The Repugs are on the line now - don't ease up. They don't have anywhere else to go.

As long as their rich friends are taking care of in a debt ceiling deal the Pukes will have no incentive to re-open the government in full.

Restore the funding back to pre-sequestration levels. THAT would be a genuinely clean CR. No more built-in concessions to the jackals.
