It also bans the Treasury from using "extraordinary measures" to stretch out the time until the debt limit.

I don't like any of this short term bullshit. We need to make debt ceiling automatic. We need a real budget. This whole thing sucks.

If Congress passes a budget resulting in the debt ceiling being exceeded, then there should be language in the budget bill raising the debt ceiling. It shouldn't be separate.

Congress racks up the bills, not the President.

Congress passed those bills and they have to pay for them.

This is so absurd.
