Fox News Anchor Apologizes For Fake Obama Story

On October 5th, Kooiman attempted to call the President out for personally funding the Muslim Museum…but failed to check her sources.

But who was the source of her information?

Satirical website National Report, which is similar to the other famed news site The Onion who is also known for its satirical content.

The fake story’s headline, “Obama Uses Own Money to Open Muslim Museum Amid Government Shutdown,” stated that Obama held a press conference announcing that he would reopen the International Museum of Muslim Cultures in Jackson, Miss., out of his own pocket.

Kooiman juxtaposed the fake story against another (below) on how vets were denied access to a World War II memorial:

The Republican National Committee is offering to pay for it to keep it open so that the veterans from Honor Flight are going to be able to go and see this because who did it honor? It honored them,” Kooiman said on Fox & Friends Saturday morning. “It really doesn’t seem fair, especially—and we’re going to talk a little bit later in the show too about some things that are continuing to be funded. And President Obama has offered to pay out of his own pocket for the museum of Muslim culture out of his own pocket"

And you can find plenty of knuckle-walkers here whose only news "source" is Faux News.

Pushback is the only thing these people seem to understand. Now they should apologize on air.

Too bad he didn't call on Ed Henry so he could call him a numskull in public and make bigger fools out of FOX News.
