John Boehner, profile in courage?

Would he be admired in history if he were to stand up to the Tea Party and offer a vote on the floor to open the government and to extend the debt limit? In the short term, he would be cruzified by his Party and he would probably lose his Speakership? But is it really worth that much to him?

John Boehner has the chance to go down in history as a man of courage. But, is he too afraid of the Tea Party and too covetous of keeping his job to permit such a bold move?

It would be nice to see but I would not hold my breath.

That would have had to have happened well before this week.

Perhaps we should ask his liver. From his behavior he's not only a drunk, but a mean one at that.

Insert yellow-belly taunt here, too obvious.

He has demonstrated he is willing to hurt anyone in order to keep the 1%'s Mighty Dollar Dyson clog free.

He'll probably replace Newt on Crossfire in a few years.
