Bad cop, good cop

Good cops arrest bad cop --

Still no word about the presumed underlying offense that would lead bad cop into starting all this. And what's with the sheriff saying mistakes were made on both sides? The only mistake was that bald-headed ape thinking her could harass someone not as strong as him because of her service.

According to Columbia, S.C. police, witnesses say Derrick approached Bell and became angry when she showed “no interest” in him.

Derrick then cuffed Bell, pulled her to her feet, and slammed her head into a metal table – reportedly telling her “this is how Marines deal with soldiers.” Bystanders attempted to intervene on Bell’s behalf – but he then began to berate them.

The incident took place Oct. 7 at the Buffalo Wild Wings at 4500 Devine Street in Columbia. According to Columbia Police, Derrick was speaking with a woman at the bar when the two got into an argument. Officers say Derrick then went outside, returned and tried to place the woman in handcuffs.

An off-duty Richland County deputy was arrested in South Carolina last week, after cell-phone video revealed his attempts to violently arrest a female soldier for allegedly arguing with him at a local restaurant.

According to the police report, 49-year-old deputy Paul Derrick began arguing with a distraught 23-year-old Brittany Ball after his attempts to initiate a conversation with the soldier were ignored. Derrick, who was not in police uniform, was also drinking at the time of the incident.
