$3 Billion bribe paid to McConnell's state to get Government going.

The bill that was passed, and signed into law, included $3 Billion dollars for a pet project of Senator McConnell's. So we won't negotiate on a medical device tax, but we will agree to bribe a Senator to get his party in line. Does anyone else have any other pork that was in the bill to bribe the Republicans into doing the right thing?

http://wfpl.org/post/mcconnell-reid-deal-includes-3-billion-earmark-kentucky-project

A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

Read the story, the Dam supposedly needed $2.1 billion in repairs, but the additional money? Well Mitch McConnell's office suggested that reporters talk to the Democrats, it was supported by them.

What the hell was Harry Reid thinking?

But categorizing the deal as a Clean CR, isn't exactly an honest description wouldn't you agree?

Perhaps I don't think that Republicans should be rewarded for throwing a tantrum.
