I hereby pledge not to denigrate people from the southern states here on DU forums. I understand that every state has its share of assholes & bigots, some more than others, and also understand that there are good democrats everywhere. People from regions where democrats are poorly represented need our support and not our derision. I will not hold people geography against them implicitly or explicitly through my comments here on DU.
I absolutely and positively will refrain from region based discrimination and will pledge to make democrats from all state feel welcome here on DU.

(25,816 posts)Seriously, there are good and bad people in every state. State bashing (they got what they deserved for allowing that jackass to be elected) is not cool or mature. We're all in this together, North, South, East and West.
Signed, a liberal Democrat in Arizona.
