GOPers that have no government experience prior to being elected to the U.S. Senate does matter

In the past the majority of U.S. Senators have either had experience under their belt from working as a U.S. Representative or Governor.

While perusing the list of current U.S. Senators I noticed that many of the 'trouble makers' are 'newbies' that were elected after 2010 and that they have NOT previously held national office. To name a few: Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Kelly Ayotte, Ted Cruz

See the 'first and third columns' on lower portion of the list on the link below...

... 44 of the current U.S. Senators have been in the Senate for LESS than 5 years. So, almost half of the 100 are have not been there a long time. Something to think about when folks talk about 'term limits'. In my opinion we 'need' the old timers there to try to keep the newbies in check.

The column that says 'Length of Senate term to date' has a toggle arrow, here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_United_States_Senators_by_age

And in The House, I haven't counted them all, but it also looks like half of the 435 members have been there five years or less
