Do I understand this right?

The Tea Party GOP shut down the government to defund a program that their base hates. The result has been the humiliation of their Speaker, horrendous damage to their brand and putting their hold on the House in play.
They now will threaten to shut down the government in order to effect draconian cuts in medicare and social security which their base depends on.
If I understand this correctly, I can imagine the President contemplating this strategy and saying: Proceed Republicans, proceed.

The unshakeable historic stability of our financial institutions has been part of our strength as a nation. That stability has been undermined by the no-nothings in the GOP and there will be additional negative impacts to our economy.

6. Yes, it will be more longer term. Higher interest, harder to do business, etc.

The wanted a world wide depression to dwarf the one in the 1930s. There is too much at stake.

It was part of the rightist depopulation plan. Cruz wanted to finish taking all the wealth from the majority to the Supermen.

They want no access to family planning. Make a lot of young mouths to be poor and malleable. Do their will or starve.

They see people not as humans, but disposable commodities. When no longer useful, or in need of care, they want to kill them. That's a cruel way of looking at their total strategy, but that's what they've been planning on, as well as a civil war to kill more people.

They are.. well, I won't say what they are. Just picture the dystopia they want to force on us. Just my opinion from looking at the big picture.

7. 24 billion divided by 300 million is $80

which isn't much to a lot of people, but I can think of several things I could buy for $80 that would be nice to have, but I don't buy them because I already didn't have $80 to spare. I imagine plenty of people could really use $80 right now, just to help get through the month.

300,000,000 people who are all out $80 bucks a piece (including kids), is really a lot. Thanks a lot, GOP idiots!

But I am waiting to see what President Obama is prepared to do the next time they pull this shit (and they inevitably will). I can't wait, actually.
